My dearest brother and friend Abhay Mishra was graduating from the MILT class. I had heard of MILT from him but had no real interest in self-development, spirituality and things of that kind. That would come later, I urgently needed a decent career. But then came an invitation to the MILT graduation at Tolly Club.
On reaching graduation, I had no clue as to why these unknown people insisted on hugging me and shaking my hands vigorously with unnecessary joy. And why the hell were they yelling at me? eh? By God, all were high with an adrenalin shot.
I survived the introductions and then came the ceremony where one by one, the new graduates came on stage and gave speeches as to how they were trash before the course and now, for all to see, were diamonds. Damn! Self-obsessed blokes.
And finally came a stocky, strongly built, middle-aged man that grabbed all our attention with a powerful voice. This was the impressive part of the day’s program. Here, at this moment, I met Aporesh Acharya.
I knew an invitation to join the course would follow and I, invariably, will be standing one day on that stage and telling everyone how I was trash and am pure platinum now.
